Caleb is a One who appeared in The Giver. He is the replacement of Caleb.

The Giver[]
Caleb is a replacement child for the first Caleb, who drowned in the river. After the first Caleb was lost, the community performs a Ceremony of Loss. As the new Caleb is welcomed, the whole community preforms a Murmur of Replacement, during which people in the audience repeat the name 'Caleb' for the first time since the loss, starting soft but getting louder and quicker, as if the old Caleb was coming back.
