The Giver Comics
Hey! My class just finished reading The Giver (pain in the neck having to keep my mouth shut- and then the teacher claims that Gathering Blue and Messenger aren't the sequels, but Son apparently is), and I'm back with the book refreshed in my mind!
I was searching through Google, trying to find stills from The Giver movie. But instead, I found something equally as epic- comics!
These comics by Lucy Kinsley depict certain scenes in the Giver, such as the airplane overheard, the Ceremony, and the apple.

Grand Re-Opening
Mycastleofbooks and I have decided on a grand finishing date for remodeling the wiki.
The finish date shall be August 15, 2014. This is the date that the Giver comes to theaters. We welcome everyone to help make sure we are done by then.

The Giver Movie Facts!
Since The Giver movie comes out in only a few more months (four and a half), I though that I might tell you a few little known facts about the movie!
- A quote from Lois Lowry about the Giver movie: “The film rights have been out there for 15 years now,” she said. “And every now and then, some big studio gets involved, and some major player gets involved. And then time passes, and it all collapses again…So it’s out there, and I should be feeling excited, as if now is the time it’s actually going to be made. But this has happened so often before that I’ve become kind of sanguine about it.”
- The movie is in full color. There will be no black and white parts like in the book.
- The pills that community members take every morning have been changed to …
New Makeover
I just wanted to say that I love the new makeover to the wiki. Thank you Asnow89. It looks wonderful, and has a great new logo. I really apreciate it.
Makeover
First of all, I just wanted to give a big thank you to Asnow89 for helping out with the awesome new pages! The front page has been given a total makeover, complete with polls, videos, and links. The other pages have been given new backgrounds, and new templates for our editors.
This is the first step to reconstructing this wikia. Now that we have a cool new look, it's time for big time editing. Lots of revising our articles, and improving their quality. We'd appreciate it if you told your friends, so that they can help to.
I'd like to make a goal for the clean up to be finished. How about August 15? That's the day that The Giver comes out as a movie for the first time!

Construction and Reconstruction
Hello! I'm mycastleofbooks, and I just learned that I'm a new Admin of this Wiki!
I know that I'll probably be getting a lot of help when the Giver movie comes out and the books get more exposure, but until then, I can use all the help I can get!
Before we construct more, we'll need to reconstruct- removing vandalism, fixing grammar errors, rebuilding pages.
But once that's done, we can work on adding new pages, and focusing somewhat on the other books besides just The Giver. I've noticed that Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Son don't have as much info on pages relating to them as the Giver, and I'd like to fix that.

so ya I'm joining this wiki in the hopes more people will join and come on regularly.Or perhaps there is a busier Giver wiki you could point me to. But I could also be an admin on this wiki (hint, hint).
